Logo animation for New Danish Screen.

New Danish Screen is a talent development subsidy scheme aimed at supporting documentary and fiction film, and focusing on inspiring new film talents to challenge traditional and well-defined norms. It supports and offers opportunities for new talents to create experiences for cinema audiences.

New Danish Screen was initiated by the Danish Film Institute in cooperation with Danish National Television and the second largest television broadcast company in Denmark, TV2.

For the animated film the typographic form of the logo was activated with each stenciled letter in the logo splitting and turning on its central axis. This was performed as an analogue process with a simple machine that was built in the studio. Each letter was filmed individually whilst being turned by hand. All the letters were composited together for the final result.
