Wood type and poster workshop

Student workshop on wood type and poster design at Krabbesholm Højskole. The love of hand printed one-offs was the inspiration for this short poster workshop held at the højskole.

20 students were supplied with prints and detailed instructions on how to create their own wood stamp letters. Additionally the students were asked to create posters using pangram sentences. A pangram sentence uses every letter of the alphabet at least once. These sentences and the wood type formed the basis for results which were imaginative and playful. Students were limited to a 100 x 70 cm poster size and to an ink palette consisting of black, white, orange and red.
