Identity program for literature festival kbh læser (Copenhagen Reads).

kbh læser is an annual, 7-day celebration of literature with events and readings taking place all over Copenhagen. The festival includes family events, lectures, concerts, discussions and literary city walks.

Our aim was to design a visual identity that clearly communicated the joy of literature and reading, but at the same time was broad enough to contain all the various events that the festival offers. We directed our attention to some of the most common signs in the written language – signs that have the function of creating pauses and rhythm in reading. Our treatment of these symbols was a visual response to the playful, varied and colorful nature of literature.

As well as an identity programme which included logotypes, we produced 3 different sized posters and an events guide.
